The Club lounge overlooks both crown greens and provides the member or visitor with unrivalled views of the greens and the activities. The long veranda, where drinks may be served, is the ideal viewing platform for this famous South Ribble Bowling Club. With its perfect location, comfortable surroundings and excellent bar facilities, the Clubhouse is a haven for either the tired and hungry bowler or someone just looking for a refreshing drink with friends at the end of the day. The "Freehouse" bar is well stocked with most mainstream products including Becks Vier, Carlsberg, Traditional "Hand Pulled" Bitters which change approx 3 times per week being sourced from many suppliers including Moorhouses, Bowland Brewery, Bank Top Brewery and many more. The size of the Club Lounge can be adjusted to suit a small intimate group or a larger party and is available to members and for private hire as a self contained function suite. It is possible to accomodate up to 120 people. Whether you wish to simply relax with a drink, or enjoy a chat, our friendly well trained staff will do all they can to ensure that Longton VM Sports and Social Club is just as memorable as you would expect from a quality club. The members games room has both Snooker and an LCD Big Screen TV with access to a separate bar area There is ample parking space giving easy access to the greens, Club House and other facilities. This club as a whole is a place for the people of Longton and surrounding areas to come to and feel part of the community. The common mistake for people to make about clubs like Longton VM Sports & Social Club is that they think of the club as being a place where only current members can go, this isn't true. Social clubs have moved on a lot since the dark days when you were stared at when you came through the door. This club has progressed a lot over the last few years and we would like you to be a part of it. Non members are now allowed to use the club up to three times before they are asked to join so they can get a feel for the place and we also welcome younger members.
